Patrick C. Stokes
Patrick Stokes has been with the Hinshaw Law Firm since 2009. He came to the firm after two years of representing employees and plaintiffs in employment and personal injury lawsuits. Prior to becoming an attorney, he was a civil engineer with Shank/Balfour Beatty Joint Venture, a contracting firm specializing in major tunnel construction projects.
Mr. Stokes’ current practice focuses on defending healthcare providers in cases of alleged medical malpractice, elder abuse, and civil rights violations. He also represents healthcare providers in a wide range of employment-related matters, including employment policies and procedures, employee contracts, complaints of discrimination and harassment, wage claims, employee discipline, and employee HIPAA compliance.
Mr. Stokes was born in Montrose, Colorado, in 1976. He earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering at University of California, Davis, in 2000. He earned his Juris Doctor at University of Santa Clara School of Law in 2007. He was admitted to practice in all courts in the State of California, and the United States District Court for the Northern and Eastern Districts of California in 2007.
Mr. Stokes lives in San Jose with his wife and two young children, Lorraine and Simon. Patrick is an Eagle Scout, and he continues to participate in volunteer organizations. Patrick enjoys landscaping, gardening, reading, and spending time with his family.
