Jill has been of counsel to Rosin Steinhagen Mendel since 2008, and she focuses on adoption clients, including adoptive parent and birth mother representation.
Prior to joining the practice, Jill was a Law Guardian in the Legal Aid Society’s Juvenile Rights Practice, representing children in abuse, neglect, custody, guardianship, termination of parental rights, adoption, PINS, and juvenile delinquency proceedings in Family Court. As part of her responsibilities in that position, Jill became involved in a community court pilot initiative, aimed toward locating community based programs and support for first time offenders to prevent recidivism located at the Harlem Community Justice Center, Juvenile Intervention Court. Jill served for a period of time as the staff attorney on the Education Advocacy Project (EAP), a grant-funded project at the Juvenile Rights Practice, which provides early intervention and special education advocacy for foster children with developmental delays.
