Yuval Rubinstein
Yuval Rubinstein joined Rose Legal Advocates in 2007. Mr. Rubinstein represents employees and nonprofit organizations, and has developed in-depth experience in all aspects of employment law, including discrimination, retaliation, harassment, public employee civil service law, disability accommodation, family and medical leave, and cases involving unpaid wages and overtime. In addition to his employment practice, Mr. Rubinstein is dedicated to advancing consumer rights in the areas of fair credit reporting and combating unfair trade practices. Mr. Rubinstein also specializes in appellate litigation, most recently authoring the successful appellate brief in NAACP v. N. Hudson Reg'l Fire & Rescue, -- F.3d -- (3d Cir., Dec. 12, 2011), which affirmed summary judgment for the plaintiffs in a Title VII class action case.
Mr. Rubinstein is actively involved in the Washington D.C. legal community. Mr. Rubinstein is currently secretary of the Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers Association’s (MWELA) Executive Committee, and was previously chairman of MWELA’s D.C. legislative subcommittee, where he educated the D.C Council and the D.C. Office of Human Rights about issues affecting D.C. employees.
Mr. Rubinstein received his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2002, and was awarded Bronze Tablet distinction, the University’s highest undergraduate honor. Mr. Rubinstein received his J.D. from William & Mary School of Law in 2005, where he was a member of the William & Mary Law Review, and earned an LL.M with merit from the University of London in 2006 as the 2005-06 Drapers’ Scholar. Mr. Rubinstein is admitted to practice in New York and the District of Columbia.
