The firm has represented such international entities as: AT&T, M&M/Mars and Nextel; national and regional real estate firms including: SunCal Companies, Forestar, Apollo Development and Centex Homes, and restaurant clients such as the Food Art Group (Pizza Ortica, Comme Ca, Sona), Norman’s, The Great Greek, Jack-in-the-Box, In-N-Out Burger and various individual restaurateurs.

The firm also represents real estate brokerage firms, such as a Coldwell Banker franchise, and real estate services firms including escrow and mortgage companies. The firm has also represented Omni Development (development firm for Walgreen’s), the development firm for a national senior citizen housing provider, and businesses as varied as auto repair, service stations, pet care, grocery markets, shopping centers, indoor swap meets and health spas.

The firm has counseled a wide range of clients in business formation issues, including partnerships, corporations, limited liability companies, drafting all necessary documents for the formation and operation of a diverse group of businesses, and for the purchase and acquisition of businesses and real property.

Mr. Avrashow utilizes his diverse experience and unique background in law, business and government to offer a comprehensive analysis and problem resolution for the firm’s clients. He was formerly a corporate officer of a privately held real estate development firm, division president and corporate officer of a publicly-held real estate development firm and has held senior positions in local government.

In government, Mr. Avrashow held senior level positions in political campaigns and in Los Angeles City government, including Campaign Manager and Deputy Campaign Manager for two successful Los Angeles City Council campaigns. Mr. Avrashow served at the executive level for two Los Angeles City Councilmembers, as Special Assistant and Chief Deputy/Chief of Staff. He was appointed by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors to two County Commissions; formerly serving on the Los Angeles County Boundary Review Commission which recommended district boundaries to the Board of Supervisors following the 2000 census, and currently serves as a member of the Los Angeles Convention & Exhibition Center Authority Commission, including a term as the Commission’s President. Mr. Avrashow chaired successful Los Angeles County ballot measures and co-authored those election ballot arguments.

Mr. Avrashow testified as an expert witness regarding the fiduciary duties of business partners in a land use civil case. As counsel and as a corporate officer, he has represented clients in numerous jurisdictions in Southern and Northern California, Nevada and Idaho. He has written opinion columns for the Los Angeles Daily News, The Los Angeles Business Journal., The Southern California Real Estate Journal, and The Daily Journal, California's foremost legal periodical.

Mr. Avrashow was a mediator for the Los Angeles Superior Court’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Panel, a former instructor at Woodbury University, guest lecturer at Southwestern Law School, and taught real estate law seminars to Certified Public Accountants to fulfill their continuing education requirements. He has served as a featured speaker in seminars on real estate and holds a California real estate broker’s license for many years.
