Dean Steinbeck is a partner and founder of Bonfante Steinbeck. Dean’s practice focuses on corporate, intellectual property and technology transactions. Dean frequently represents entrepreneurs as they structure new ventures, counsels emerging companies through angel and venture capital financings, and provides regulatory guidance for securities offerings. In the course of his intellectual property practice, Dean negotiates and structures development, apportionment, licensing and transfer of intellectual property rights in the context of mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, franchises, strategic alliances, and other commercialization opportunities in the U.S. and abroad. Dean also advises the firm’s clients on matters pertaining to intellectual property perfection, assignment, protection and maintenance.
Dean began his legal career at Latham & Watkins where he worked on a variety of cutting-edge corporate and intellectual property matters. He earned his law degree from UC Berkeley Law School (Boalt Hall) where he graduated Order of the Coif and was a member of the California Law Review. Prior to earning his law degree, Dean received his Masters degree in Accounting & Finance from the London School of Economics.
Dean is licensed to practice law in the State of California.
